Samir Halder Foundation is a civic environmental organization that takes progressive actions to support core values of life, peace, ecology, and bottom-up participation in harmony with the Nature.
We also takes a pragmatic role in addressing major environmental problems through campaigns and interactions with governmental bodies in issues of climate change, renewable energy, protection of forests, water and river, land, ocean, and wetland conversations and so on.
Our approach of working closely with local communities to develop conservation action plans and sustainable livelihoods offers a real alternative to the destruction of forests for short-term profit.
Coming to rely on the protection, rather than exploitation, of forests, these communities become conservation ambassadors, creating a tide of action.
We also work for the social development and integration of underprivileged individuals, groups, and communities. Our work aims at breaking the vicious cycle of poverty and social isolation and restoring hope for a better future.
We believe that everyone has the right to access resources and opportunities that will help them to live and develop with dignity.

Our History
Samir Halder Foundation started its journey in the year 2019 to serve the society as a self-financed social enterprise with voluntary effort established by Samir Halder.
It became a “not for profit” registered society in the year 2020 to widen its scope of work in providing consultancy services, to conduct socioeconomic research and to partner with other organizations for serving the people in various disciplines of socioeconomic and natural resources development.
